Panama have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in their history
Northern Ireland will take on England's World Cup opponents Panama in a friendly next May.
Michael O'Neill's men failed to qualify for Russia after losing to Switzerland in a play-off in November.
But they will head to Central America next spring to play World Cup debutants Panama in Panama City on Tuesday 29 May, before taking on Costa Rica, who have also qualified for the Finals, on Sunday 3 June in San Jose.
Panama have been drawn in a group with England, Belgium and Tunisia next summer, while Costa Rica will face Serbia, Brazil and Switzerland.
O'Neill has been linked with numerous jobs since Northern Ireland were beaten in the World Cup qualifying play-offs and was given permission to talk to the Scottish Football Association about their managerial vacancy.

"In 2014 we travelled to South America to play Uruguay and Chile, and those matches were hugely beneficial to us ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign," he said.
"Playing in Central America will be a new experience for everyone involved and, while we will enjoy that aspect of the tour, most importantly we will be using the matches to give us solid preparation for sbo ninja
the UEFA Nations League and UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying."
